Magician, photographer, investor and Arbonne Business Builder:

Dale was introduced to magic by the great pioneer of television magic, the late Stuart Cramer in October,
1952.  Dale’s father, John was then principal of Brooklyn high school, near Cleveland Ohio.  John’s keen
interest in providing fun times for school assemblies led him to bring Elvis Presley, Pat Boone and the
Everly Brothers to his school stage (prior to their becoming famous).  John also hired Stuart Cramer for
stage shows at the school and Dale watched back stage.  Dale’s start along the magical path began when
Stuart gave him a book by the great Howard Thurston.  Dale frequented the local Cleveland magic shop,
Snyder’s, and there met Harry Goodwin, local professional magician from England.  The club Harry started
for young magicians, The Magic Arts Society, became a monthly get together similar to those of the Society
of American Magicians, of which Houdini was an early president.  Dale’s professional career as a magician,
included school, church, Kiwanis Club, Masonic work, TV appearances and a performance at Cleveland’s
Theatrical Grill.  After graduation from Lakewood High School Dale earned BA, MS and PhD EE degrees at
University of Cincinnati, University of Denver and University of Colorado respectively.  While attending the
University of Denver, Dale engineered the lighting for a theater-in-the-round production of Harvey.  The
play’s author was present for the final performance.

As a high school student, Dale was always interested in photography and printed his own photos in the
basement of the family home.  In college, he shot and developed hundreds of time exposures of phosphor
screen electron microscopy images using a Pentax 35mm camera and Tri-X film.   Many of these photos
can be seen in his PhD thesis, “Growth and Properties of Zinc Selenide Thin Films Vacuum Deposited onto
Cleaved Zinc Telluride Crystals”, July, 1970.

While working at Hewlett Packard and later Intel Corporation, Dale began experimenting with digital
photography.  This was a normal recreational outgrowth of his work in process development for EPROM’s
and E squared PROMS.  This early process work was the for-runner of the Intel invention, FLASH memory
upon which much of digital photography is based.  Dale first used a two Ricoh digital cameras and a Kodak
digital camera.  Later on the formation of Nieman Enterprises, LLC he and his wife, Charyl found
themselves taking fast action shots of Dressage and jumping horses for the horse importing, breeding and
sales business owned by himself and Charyl.

Charyl's 25 years as a senior project manager at Intel Corporation added to Dale's 28 years as an
employee with Hewlett Packard and Intel, have given us enough vision to see the outstanding opportunity
with Arbonne International.

Our attempt at self-employment was not as rewarding as we had planned and generated an interest in
BUSINESS BUILDING.

In 2006, Charyl became so impressed with Arbonne that she and Dale began
our newest effort to:

"Help our friends look and feel their best"
